Home Networking
A boring name, but a fundamental launch-pad for making many things possible. Now becoming more commonplace, a home network allows computers and other devices to share broadband, printers, and send files (documents, photos, etc.) between them.

Wireless networking, that is as above but without the cable clutter. All new consumer Macs come with wireless (AirPort) cards, a genuine modern convenience. pebble.it can ensure wireless network coverage throughout your house, however large. Most importantly, we can advise on securing your wireless network, safeguarding you from nefarious activities.

Home Entertainment
Your music is constrained when it's locked up in CDs. Import it onto your Mac, and have the convenience of having instant access to your entire library. In this form your music becomes much more dynamic. Transfer to an iPod, share with other computers, or play your tracks all over the house via AirTunes with your existing hi-fi equipment.

Music is just the beginning. It's also possible to watch TV on your Mac. For example, with a Mac mini combined with EyeTV, you can record, pause and rewind live television programmes. Your recordings can be shared with other computers, burnt to DVD or transferred to your iPod.

And now with TV, digital video is liberated too. Movies can be watched on your television, and, as before, iTunes can be played on your stereo, but as TV has built-in storage your computer needn't always be turned on.
